Our Team

Mr. Bukenya Jonathan
Jonathan is the Chair, Advisory Board and Founder of Ngabi International. He has a 7
year experience of civic engagement, management, working with underserved
communities, leadership, and environmental stewardship and advocacy.
Since 2014, his international development expertise has developed in Uganda in the water and energy sector.
In 2016, Jonathan received an award from the World Bank for having participated as an Advisor on Uganda in the enabling the business of agriculture project which sought to improve the business climate of farmers in Sub-Sahara Africa through regulatory reforms. Jonathan is a member of the Uganda Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Action project committee which aims to build resilience and promote a low-carbon development path by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG)
emissions, reduce vulnerabilities in rural and urban areas, and build climate resilience
especially in crop and livestock agriculture, forestry, infrastructure, water, energy and
health.
Jonathan is also a member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE).

Ms. Nakachwa Dorcus
Dorcus is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ngabi International. She has
worked as a co-ordinator of Future for Africa (FOA), a non- profit organization based in Ghana.
She is passionate about breaking stereotypes and gender biases that hold Ugandan women and girls in pursuing careers
in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Dorcus worn the first
prize at the 2020 Finals of the McGill Dobson Competition organized by the McGill Dobson Center for Entrepreneurship together with the MasterCard Foundation. She has proven leadership skills in successfully building and motivating multi-cultural teams thus optimizing organizational performance

Ms. Nabwami Esther
Esther is a Senior Operations Executive having lived in Uganda and worked in the social sector for the past 4years as a Cashier and Field Project Accountant. Seeing firsthand extreme poverty that occurs in 3rd world countries, Esther was drawn to Ngabi International’s mission of working with people in poverty and distress to create resilient and self reliant communities through empowering partnerships and responsible actions. In her spare time, Esther enjoys travelling, hiking, singing and guitar playing.

Ms. Gladys Nakanwagi
Gladys is a seasoned Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA) with vast knowledge of tax and audit regimes in East Africa with particular focus on non-profit organisations. Gladys held notable positions in finance, business, economics, auditing and accounting. She remains a passionate humanitarian and is excited to bring her expertise and forward thinking approach to advance Ngabi International’s financial foundation as it serves a global community.
